Dr. Fields received his B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee in 1978 and went on to complete his dental education at the University of Florida where he earned his DMD degree in 1982. Dr. Fields then entered the Navy and practiced general dentistry from 1982 until 1990. During his military service, he served with distinction and was presented the Navy Achievement Medal in 1990. After his Naval service, Dr. Fields completed his training in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina in 1993. Dr. Fields is a member of the AAO, SAO, and ADA. As a Courtesy Faculty member and Board of Director for Alumni Affairs at the University of Florida, Dr. Fields continues to advance the clinical science and dental research through his efforts with the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network. Additionally, Dr. Fields has been providing Invisalign Therapy since 2001 and continues to teach the Invisalign techniques to his dental colleagues. As a founding Board Member of the Clay County Dental Care, Inc., Dr. Fields also volunteers his services at the public health dental clinic in Green Cove Springs as part of an ongoing community service project within the county
